KLEIN AMOSKUIL Tarentaal Kwaal Mourvèdre 2022

The grapes were naturally fermented in our open-top concrete "kuipe" and were punched down twice a day during fermentation. Partial whole bunch fermentation has made for an expressive burst of freshness in the final wine. After fermentation, the juice was transferred to seasoned French oak barrels and left to mature for around a year. Very light filtration prior to bottling.

Total of 1.050 bottles made!

I was planning on only bottling around 100 bottles of this wine for a special dinner, but after tasting it out of the barrel a few times over its maturation period, I started to really enjoy it. There's a dance between salty, savoury, and fresh, juicy berry flavors that's super intriguing. Eventually, I decided on bottling just over 1000.
